Product Description
EK-FB KIT RE4 is a complete water cooling solution for ASUS Rampage IV Extreme motherboard consisting of two separate water blocks. The water blocks directly cools Intel X79 Express southbridge (PCH) chip and power regulation (VRM / MOSFETs) module. Please note this water block cools exactly as much heat generating components as ASUS factory cooling solution. It is medium-high to high flow water block that can be easily used with systems using weaker water pumps.
Base of the waterblock is made of electroless (EN) nickel plated copper while the top is made of quality POM Acetal material. The sealing is performed by quality rubber gaskets.
Water block is mounted with enclosed M2.5x4, M3x4 and M3x8 DIN7985 screws and PVC washers. The 2.1- and 2.5mm nickel plated brass screw-in standoffs are already preinstalled and allow for easy installation.
Enclosed thermal pad is used on voltage regulator module to improve cooling performance of the waterblock. On the southbridge please use any electrically non-conductive thermal grease, e.g. Arctic Cooling MX-4.
A maximum diameter of barbs/fittings on SB part of the water block kit must be 22.2 mm in order to allow the installation of the graphics card mounted with EK-FC series backplate in the first PCIe x16 slot!

Fittings are optional not enclosed! Four fittings are needed to make this waterblock to operate properly. All EK-PSC fittings are compatible with this water block!
