We are developing watercooling solution for Gigabyte-X58A-UD9.
We started developing new water block for Nvidia 460GTX reference design.
We would like to inform all users and potential users that we have found a difference on a back side on most of the GeForce 480 GTX vga cards compared to refference design VGA card that we recieve from Nvidia.

Research & Development
The water block development process is supported by hi-tech CAD-CAM technology. Scratch sketches of the water block are transferred directly into 3D models.
Before the prototypes are made, the 3D models are tested with the ultimate flow and heat simulation software, Solidworks Flow Simulation.

When the prototype shows enough reasons to be produced, a few slightly different samples of prototypes are made and tested on real time CPU simulator, where all its characteristics are recorded into our database on a computer.
Usually the prototype is modified slightly and then again tested on our simulator and finally with real computer hardware until the waterblock is ready for mass production.
Our production facility consists of 10 CNC machining centers.
EK Quality
EK is obligated to bring you top level products. Since July 2009, we test all of our product's sealing to 2 bar (30psi) pressure.
Vision and Mission
Our goal is to excel in a niche market of performance upgrades for computers. With continuous research and development, we have established a portfolio of products for water cooling. Quality and breathtaking design on the technological edge is our philosophy.
Milestones of EK Water Blocks
2009
The year started with a worldwide talking of only economic crisis. But EK's goals were to come out at the end of the crisis even stronger. With a long term business plan to offer wider range of watercooling products under the EK brand, EK is getting more and more partners that are seeing the big potential and benefit of EK products.
In June 2009, EK was first to release an All-in-One water block for motherboards - a single water block that covers all the chips on the motherboard that need to be cooler when overclocked.
After a complete success of the EK-FB EVGA X58 Classified water block and victory over a close competition, EK released Full Board water blocks for the EVGA X58 LE and ASUS Crosshair III Formula motherboards.
In 2009, EK is planning to also offer pumps, radiators, coolants and fans under the EK brand.
2008
In 2008, EK Water Blocks Company has changed from a personal company to a limited company called EKWB d.o.o., now located on new premises.
EK released a new revision of the aftermarket top for one of the most popular watercooling pumps - the Laing DDC. The new EK-DDC X-TOP Rev.2 has beaten the competition by as much as 6% according to independent tests.
2007
In 2007, EK has shown that it is here to stay. The EK trademark has become a synonym for quality, top performance and fastest respond time on current market needs.
In September 2007, EK presented the ultimate CPU water block called the EK-Supreme. The block outperformed all current competition and became one of the most popular CPU water blocks.
EK has continuously released new products for motherboards, graphic cards and other watercooling products that keeps EK ahead of the competition.
EK has continioulsly released new products for motherboard, graphic cards and other watercooling products that keeped EK in front of the competition.
2006
In the beginning of 2006, EK has offered a complete assortment of water blocks for water cooling including 3 new extreme, high performance Full Cover water blocks for the Nvidia GeForce 7800 Series, ATI Radeon X1800/1900 and X800/X850 high end graphics cards.
From the beginning, EK’s most important role is to keep close contact with customers and listen to their needs ,comments and to supply water cooling enthusiasts with products they want. EK’s main goal is to continuously develop extremely high performance and aesthetic water blocks.
EK is planning to set distribution channels into EU countries. Although EK is getting a lot of inquiries, our goal is to get resellers and distributors which can offer quality service to customers, which is our primary value.
In 2006, EK presented full cover water block for the most successful graphic card family with longest life span - the GeForce 8800 Series (G80) graphics card.
The most advanced and multi-featured “multioption” reservoirs called the EK Multioption reservoirs were offered in the end of 2006.
2005
In the beginning of 2005, a new block was released, the EK-MCW (Micro Channel Wave). The block has outperformed all predecessors in both cooling performance and aesthetics.
Meanwhile, another Full Cover water block was introduced for the Nvidia 6800 series graphics card, the EK-VGA-FC:
EK was one the first companies that has offered quality water blocks, such as the EK-NF4 water block for the most popular nForce 4 SLI motherboards, such as the DFI ultra D:
In the end of 2005, EK realized that the Slovenian market is too small and decided to offer their products abroad. A new sales and development executive joined the crew.
2004
In 2004, EK presented a new evolution of water blocks. The blocks were named EK-WW (wave water) and EK-VGA-NW (new wave).
In that same year they made their first so called Full Cover water block for graphics cards.
This water block inspired them, as they saw the great potential in that design for future water blocks.
Major CPU water block design improvements were made allowing the EK-WWA (wave water accelerator) water block to become one of the world's best performing water blocks in the market.
The block's main advantages are that it performs well even at a low flow of coolant. The curved channels increases the surface area for heat exchange and increases turbulence which contributes to higher cooling performance.
2003
Edvard König's dreams came true while finishing his studies in 2003, when he made his first water block prototypes, called the EK-1, EK-2 and EK-3. His designing criteria was and still is: quality and breathtaking design on the technological edge.
Soon his friend David joined his mission, and together they made first their CPU simulator for testing the prototypes. Months and months were spent on development. After that, they have made some more prototypes, but the first one to come out of production was the EK-4 water block.
After EK-4 came EK-6 as a serial water block:
Their main goal was for every next series of water blocks to be better in both cooling performance and quality. And so it was.
1999
It all started in year 1999, when Edvard König bought his first computer. Soon he had realized that air cooling is not enough to cool his highly overclocked computer. So he tried to find an appropriate substitute. He found out about water cooling and shortly after he had a great desire to make his own water block. He spent days, nights and weekends developing sketches of water blocks.
